Loving Oneness Now
IS MONEY THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL?
It is a popular aphorism that "Money is the root of all evil," but whether this is true or not depends on whether one is looking through the eyes of the ego, or through the eyes of Love. The ego sees money as the paramount answer to our constant fear of (anxiety about) scarcity, lack, loss and shortages.
Scarcity and lack vs. material prosperity and affluence is an unstable ego-polarity.
WHY DO WE HUMANS HAVE SUCH A STRONG BELIEF IN SCARCITY, LACK, LOSS AND SHORTAGES?
When we decided to separate from God of our own free will (and He let us carry out this separation in an unreal dreamworld of ego because God never opposes) we left behind His Infinite Love and Safety. Our separation determined that there would be scarcity, because only in Reality is there an infinite Abundance of Everything.
Our separation from God and His Loving Reality and the (unreal) scarcity that resulted, caused us to invent an artificial set of beliefs and false ideas all based on fear.
Fear, in a world of perceived shortages, scarcity and lack, has become our safety. We are so fearful of loss and lack that we constantly compete for the available "goodies" and the money that buys them. We are so fearful of shortages and of losing what we have that we have devised numerous precautions and activities to shore up our assets (financial, health, property, feeling good) and so ensure we get and keep our "fair share." Remember that more than half the population of the world does live in dire poverty and extreme scarcity.
Here is the list:
We lock our doors and cars in case things are stolen from us by criminals.
We install alarms for the same purpose.
We keep firearms in case someone threatens our lives and property.
We have a police force to protect us from loss and harm.
We have armed forces to defend us from our enemies.
We try to earn enough money to stave off poverty and keep us in good supply.
We take out and pay for all kinds of insurance to conserve our property and health.
We save or invest money as "nest eggs" against a "rainy day."
We contribute to pensions and funds to insure we are provided for in "old age."
We vaccinate, inoculate and take vitamins because we might become unhealthy or die early.
We keep at arms length those people we think may threaten our entrenched beliefs, our health, or our mental equilibrium.
We indulge in a long list of addictions to allay or "escape from" our deep fears of pain, inner emptiness and despair.
We fear punishment for our crimes and "sins." Punishment is deprivation, pain or loss so we try to be "good." Most humans believe that punishment is the only thing that keeps us "good."
We foster "positive" cozy relationships because we fear the deep loneliness which results from our separation from God's Love.
Now, please do not rush out and cancel all your insurances and pension policies, or stop seeing doctors, or cease taking your vitamins--at least not until you Wake Up! Also continue to lock your cars and doors. However, you might want to free yourself from your addictions, and also get rid of your fear of punishment (you do have it). It will also do no harm to examine your pet dogmas, especially in terms of wondering why other people believe in their dogmas equally strongly; ask yourself what would you believe if you had been born in Iran or Tibet and still lived there?
My real purpose in presenting the above long list, is to bring to your conscious attention how much of our lives are spent in shoring up our fears and anxieties, our insecurities and our feelings of vulnerability. Yet we humans all cause these emotions and feelings in each other; if everyone Loved everyone, 99 percent of them would cease to exist.
IS MONEY THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL, OR IS FEAR THE CULPRIT?
Fear is the root of all "evil," and that fear arises out of our separation from God, Who is our only Security and Abundance, even in and on this world called Earth. Our fear-based egos greedily grab all they can to "get their fair share," "to make ends meet," and "to keep the wolf from the (locked) door." Even when we give to others it is almost always "giving to get." This "getting" may be money or a reciprocal present, but it is often with smug self-praise and a "what a good boy am I," sense of satisfaction. Usually we are unhappy when our gifts are totally unacknowledged or rejected. This also applies to gifts of service and helping others in charitable ways. The ego also promotes "giving to get" by making us feel guilty when we do not give to those around us, or to the needy whom scarcity or sickness has afflicted.
HOW THEN IS MONEY SOLIDIFIED LOVE?
Think of money this way: If I walk into a supermarket and pay, say $100, I am giving that money out of Love to help support all the families of the management, employees, shareholders, retired employees, pension plans, insurance policies, wholesalers, transport drivers, factory workers who make the products, the farmers and growers, the pickers and the packers. The Supermarket, out of Love, is giving me and my family packaged and canned food, produce, meat, dairy and household products, juices and drinks, and bakery goods. Love sees this not as an exchange of gifts, but rather as each group of people helping the others in Loving ways. View money not as a medium of exchange, but as a medium of freely given Love every which way.
HOW THEN DOES REAL LOVE GIVE GIFTS?
Real Love never "gives to get" and has no expectation or need to "get" anything. Why? Because once any human Awakens to Real Love, the Love of God Flows through him or her in an endless stream of overflowing Abundance, so much so, that the faster it is unconditionally given away the faster it flows through him or her from the only Source of Love--Who is God. Before too long, hopefully, all humans will be able to say, "My Friends, my cup of Love from God is full and constantly running over, so help yourselves to as much Love from me as you like."
To activate that Loving Abundance from God in many forms, requires only the "Faith the size of a mustard seed." However, God does not force Abundance on anyone who does not want it, and any ego-belief that these statements are all nonsense will only serve to block the flow of Love because it is tantamount to saying to God, "No thank You."
Trusting that there is Abundance is a choice. We Sons and Daughters of God have voluntarily chosen separation and scarcity, and God does not deny us, or interfere with, what we have chosen. Our problem is that scarcity and fear cover many, many areas of the ego's needs and wants, and as a consequence, we do not even see His Abundance all around us in Nature. There is more than enough of everything for everyone on this planet if we did not waste our resources on nonsense and truly Loved one another.
When we Wake Up we will not need to eat at all, unless we want to manifest, and enjoy, treats from time to time. Quite a few humans on this planet already live on Love and Light, even though few people know about it or want to believe in it.
